I just heard about these and wish I had know of them before now - introducing the Moleskin City Notebooks. This SOLVES the travel info/maps/journal problem in one fell swoop. Moleskin notebooks has a huge section entitled City Notebooks and a subsection entitled European City Notebooks. Each city has a moleskin notebook (with elastic closure and 3 bookmarks) that includes maps, city information, blank pages for journaling or sketching and a pocket to hold all your tickets & receipts. A wonderful idea. There is a huge list of cities available. It will give you a travel bug just scrolling through that list of incredible cities. This would be a useful item when you're there. Will travel compactly and keep all your stuff together - and will be a great momento when you return.
Of course I marked the Paris book for you - because you can't dream about visiting Paris enough! Scroll through the city list - anything catch your eye?
