Some of our dear friends are missionaries in Haiti. Because of our love for them and their Haitian friends we've been following this story closely & emotionally. The news & photos & emails from them are so heavy on our hearts. What devastation in a place with no hope to rebuild. Medical issues are overwhelming there. Our friends estimate that almost 2000 people are camping outside on their seminary grounds. The basketball court has become a makeshift medical facility - with tylenol and homemade bandages being their only supplies! How hard it is to stand in the middle of pain & suffering with skills but no supplies.
Etsy is hosting a great fundraiser called Craft Hope for Haiti. People have donated crafted items for you to purchase - and ALL THE MONEY is going to Doctors Without Borders for Haitian medical relief. If you have something you've made to donate jump on over and get it to them. If you love to browse online or need a gift for someone - go and purchase something. It's a great way to get involved and respond to some of the suffering we've seen.
And then pray for Haiti and it's proud people and all the organizations trying to hold pieces together in that trembling country this week. Our prayers and hearts are with them.
