Yard Sale Chest

We were driving home from visiting friends as a yard sale in our village was just closing up for the day. I saw a baker's rack and some trunks still out in the yard. The rack was out of our price range - but the chest had a $10 sticker on it's lid. I worked on the latches for a minute and opened it to reveal a clean interior, complete with a inset tray. I knew immediately it would work for my yarn stash. What a great way to keep and view yarns not yet cast on...so we opened my boxes from Europe and filled this trunk with color & texture that I love. What a great find!

The bottom of the chest is filled with yarns yet to be cast on for projects. I unboxed them from our European boxes and fell in love with the colors and textures again. I can't wait to start some new projects when I finish the scarf and baby blanket. Maybe I"ll just sit around staring into my trunk of yarn!

I filled the top drawers of the chest with my needles, notions and pattern notes. What a great way to keep things organized and easily accessible
