Sunset Knitting

Through the generosity of friends we had 3 days on Lake Michigan at Bethany Beach. We lived comfortably in their beach house, spent hours on the beach, watched long sunsets, walked to the ice cream store, picked blueberries, read books and of course, I spent some time knitting on the beach. I could have stayed in this good place a couple more days soaking in all the things I love. Here are a few photos as memories of a beautiful visit:

The last handstand of the day...My daughter didn't want to get out of the lake at the end of the day. She kept saying that the next day we'd be in the car ALL DAY - so she needed just a few more minutes to swim, dive and play. The final handstand before leaving the water was a bittersweet moment.

My husband and I enjoyed a few minutes of the sunset together...then he went to throw the football with the boys, my daughter played in the cool sand and I found my knitting bag. Romance is good - but make way for the knitting bag!

The evening ended with me in a beach chair, knitting in hand, watching the sun set. A great way to end the time at Bethany Beach. The sky colored yellow & pink and faded into a beautiful purple glow. A delight to sit and breathe the fresh air and garter stitch into the sunset.
