It arrived this week! We ordered this art piece several weeks ago and I've been anticipating it with a thrill. It has lived up to all I wanted it to be. Our living room is slightly more pastel than I would have chosen and with our borrowed brown couch & chair we needed some color perk & focus in the room. I saw this piece and knew it would be the perfect piece for our room. It is made out of 100 wooden blocks that are painted and inset into an anchoring black frame. The effect is stunning when you walk in and see it. The colors and depth seem different every time I look at it. It brings the colors of the accent pieces together and gives the room some needed WOW.
Without a tripod this was the best shot I could get. It doesn't do the colors justice but you can get a good idea of the feel of the piece. The blocks are painted in metallic paints in such a way that it looks like metallic or marble blocks. Stunning colors and shading on each block.
The other great feature of this piece (besides the stunning colors) is the 3 dimensionality of the blocks. The blocks are inset into the piece in a range of depths. This view gives you an idea of how it looks from the side. The depth & color combination is what makes the piece move and draw your eye anytime you look at it.
