Blue dog is finished! My friend, Sharon, completed the face with a sensitive skill that brought it to life. I added a two row neckline to give the bow some room to flourish. My kids think it looks like the dog from the children's book Go Dog Go by P.D. Eastman so we're including a copy of the book in the baby gift as well. A beautiful gift combo.
I love the way it looks and feels. Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Chunky was a great yarn to knit up and feels soft and cuddly in the hands. The dog has a good feel - the baby can play and love on this without fear of it coming apart.
I have another baby gift to give this year and am considering doing this again - maybe in red next time to be the red dog in Go Dog Go!
