Dessert Addition

Just saw a great dessert I might throw into the weekend baking just to perk things up a bit. It's an Orangette recipe entitled, "French Style Yogurt Cake with Lemon". It's in Orangette's book, A Homemade Life, but it also reviewed & shown on one of my favorite blogs, Birds and Trees.

The cake sounds easy to make and the additional glaze sounds like it puts it over the top. A definite Spring must try - French Style Yogurt Cake with Lemon...

Makes me wish I was eating a tarte citron in Paris right now...but this might ease the urge.

I received Molly's book for Christmas…and it's a great read…in addition to tons of delicous-sounding recipes! I've only tried one so far…I must get cracking on some new ones soon!

I make a cake similar to this, but it calls for a boxed lemon cake. I am glad to have the homemade version. Also, I poke the top of the cake with a meat fork to make holes so the glaze can soak into the cake a little. One of our favorite cakes.

MMMMM...tarte au citron! Sure brings back yummy memories! =) Don't know WHEN I'll get around to trying your recipe...I consider myself ahead if I can make dinner, let alone dessert. =) But I'll keep it in the back of my head for an adventurous day! =) Wish I was there to eat the one you make!!!
