This is the sewing machine my family gave me for Christmas. It is a Husqvarna/Viking Emerald 183. They bought it at the Viking dealership within a JoAnn's store in our city. The dealer made my husband promise that I wouldn't open it or touch it until I had the first class so they could show me all the new gadgets and attachments.
I had my class today and was thrilled with this machine. What fun I"ll have playing and using all the accessories. The first thing I bought was a walking quilting foot (and the little screwdriver to change the ankles!) The huge bummer is that our machine came without a power cord in the box. I used one from the store during our lesson and they're getting me a cord - but I had to come home with a new machine, a little practice and NO CORD. Will get one this week and get started playing on this machine.
I already have material for two projects that are just waiting to be cut & sewn. This will motivate me to get through the math & measuring & cutting stage and on to the sewing as quick as possible. Will put photos up when I get it going. I can't wait!
