I haven't yet taken the photos of my completed first section of the blanket but will let you anticipate the next post while reading from Brooklyn Tweed about his creation of the Big Squishy Lovefest. His is so inspirational I know you won't mind spending some time admiring his work until I get my photos uploaded.

By the way, my first piece looks just as delightfully squishy and yummy as his...let's hope the finished project is the same!




Thought I'd add the photo of my yarn. Unusual for me to use the same yarn as the one in the picture I saw in the pattern - but I loved the sound of it and wanted to try Cascade's Eco Wool for myself. I liken it in usage to Lion's Pride Extra Chunky with the added bonus of being organic and dye free. Good to work with so far. I'm using wooden needles and it is sliding perfectly for each stitch.
