End of Christmas School Holiday
The day is coming to a close. The last hour before bedtime. The alarm clock will ring in the morning at 6:30am. It will be around 0 degrees Celcius and still dark outside. We'll drag our holiday saturated bodies out of bed and return to the land of "Normal Schedule". We've had the nicest Christmas holiday.
Christmas was wonderful with gifts that fit each person exactly. My husband was in the states on business during the kids' school holiday so it was Mom & kids on "Christmas Time". We slept in till 10am, ate breakfast and played Canasta until noon. I did yoga, took my shower and managed to get some lunch by 3pm. We listened to audio books. I started knitting a free form tea cozy that energized all my creative juices, we played more games, ate cookies, finally had dinner quickly so we could watch a new movie we got from Santa...and then off to bed to sleep with my hot water bottle - and up the next morning at 10am to start again. My body clock & schedule for two whole weeks - yeah!
A highlight day was a trip to Katowice, Poland where a movie theater was showing National Treasure 2 in English, followed by dinner at Pizza Hut (yes the real thing!) We also loved Coffee Heaven (A starbucks knockoff), the pottery store, and the Lord of the Rings figurine store for my boys to get paint & craft supplies. A satisfying day for all.
This Meez typifies our vacation. PJs late into the day, audio books, puzzle, knitting, cookies, pots of tea, movies ...a great holiday.
