Saving Face

My final skein of yarn finally arrived and I hurried to finish the sweetest little rabbit ever knit. I put together arms, legs, a heart shaped belly, sewed on ears...and then bumbled around on the face. Couldn't get it right. Tore out carefully so as to not injure any of the knitting I so adored.

I finally admitted defeat and recruited my talented friend who used to make dolls for a supplemental income. Over tea in her sitting room she gave advice and talked me through the steps it would involve. I followed along and then pitched the idea that SHE do the eyes, nose and mouth as her love on this beautiful little animal. Thankfully she agreed and I left supplies and all my frustrations at her house. Will post pictures when it comes back. I can't wait to see it!
