Had to post a photo from my friend Jen's blog, Finding Jen's View. She is one of my creative, expressive, thinking friends who I adore. She also travels lighter than most and is so easy to live & travel with. Things I highly respect in any woman. Enough gushing about Jen (except I will say that I gave Jen and her husband the Garter Blanket for a wedding present!)
Okay, on to the great photo that I'm showing you. Jen entered this in the Pioneer Woman's contest and was mentioned on the blog. Oh man, that's quite an achievement. I think there were over 20,000 in the contest and Jen's was picked. I always knew she was great but so glad that it caught the eye of someone she admires. Hurray to Jen!
Many of my knitting friends don't know Jen and may not be into the blog/photography/cooking of the Pioneer Woman - so I wanted to give a shout out to both of them and let you enjoy some new blogs as you start this new year.

Just had to post this photo of the Garter Blanket on Jen's couch in her new house. I never tire of seeing that blanket and some days miss working on it - I just love how that yarn & pattern texture feel in my hands

thanks for the shout out :) It was fun being noticed…I'm pretty sure the pool for this particular contest was much less than 20,000…that is how many photos are in the pool total for all the contests. but still. it was a thrill! And I've got the blanket on my bed for the winter months once again…I love it's weight so very much!
