I'm proud to announce that I was one of the lucky Americans to get into the Winter Class Unravel, hosted by Susannah Conway. Here is the blurb about the class:
The original Unravelling: Ways of Seeing My Self e-course takes you on a photo safari into your own life to reconnect with who you are, where you’ve been and where you want to go next.
Her classes have been raved about on blogs in the craft/self-expression world. They are notoriously hard to get into so I set myself on a mission to "Register for Unravel". I thought I might have an insider knowledge of the time difference between NY and the UK, thereby allowing me to be sitting at my computer the exact time the course registration opened - even if it was an "odd" time for us on this side of the pond.
But my huge sneaky time plot didn't work! She opened it at a slightly different time than posted and all 160 slots were taken within 83 minutes! I was on around 90 minutes after the opening and was told it was sold out. NO WAY! So I did something unusual for me and I wrote to Susannah and pled my case. The time change thing. My big plan. Why this course is so right for me at this time of my life & transition. And then just begged a little (I was shameless!)
It worked! Susannah and I exchanged several emails over the next two days and she allowed me to join. I don't know if someone else quit or if she made me student #161 - but I'm in! I can't wait. The 8 week course starts January 4th and involves weekly photo assignments and provides 2 writing prompts to go along with the theme. I'm sure this blog will pick up some of that action as I set about on a time of unraveling.
I wanted to thank Susannah on the blog and give her course a plug - Spring course schedule is set but not open for registration yet. If you're interested, I can give you my time change stealth plans! Would love to unravel with some of you.
The photo at the opening of this entry is by Susannah and is on my blog only as a plug for her work. You can check out her stuff on her website.
