Why I Don't Use Facebook

I've been asked many times why I'm not using Facebook. My main reason is that there are so many ways for me to be behind in keeping up with people on both sides of the ocean that I don't need another. Mail, email, Skype, messaging...Do I need to add to my to-do list? My husband & 2 of my children are on so I can look on their facebook accounts and keep up with any news or photos I want to see. No huge desire or need.

However, this morning I was reading Time.com and saw their headline article was about college students who use Facebook. Research has now shown that college students who use Facebook have significantly lower grade point averages than those who don't use Facebook. I quoted this to my husband right away. Finally the reason I don't use facebook: I had a very high college GPA and am therefore in the Non-Facebook yet intelligent profile group!

More power to the non-facebookers out there in blog land! Let's blame it on our GPA today!
